Prestige School of Dance was established in 2008. We have an amazing faculty that is prepared to train any dancer who enters our classrooms. Our state of the art facility offers 3 large dance rooms, a parent friendly lobby, a dancer lounge, and much more! We are also the only studio with a FULL SERVICE Capezio Dance boutique.

Meet Our Faculty

Kristal Venters

Owner / Director

Kristal has been dancing since the age of four. She grew up in Salina, Kansas and Nashville, Tennessee where she studied at various studios in both regions. Kristal has been a competitive dancer since the age of seven. She has traveled all over the U.S competing in numerous regional and national competitions. Kristal has performed on several cruise ships, Disney Land and also Disney world.

As a former resident of San Diego, CA, Kristal took classes almost daily with California Ballet School, in addition to the APA; Academy of Performing Arts. She enjoyed training at multiple professional training facilities such as EDGE and Millenium in Los Angeles. Kristal also was a Dance and Business major at San Diego Mesa College.

In 2006, Kristal received a dance scholarship to Kansas State University. There she studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Improvisation under instructors Joyce Yagerline, Julie Pentz, and David Ollington. Kristal was cast in all KSU Dance Department productions such as SPRING DANCE, WINTER DANCE, and also participated in all STUDENT SPOTLIGHT productions. Kristal also attended the Kansas Dance Festivals and American College Dance Festivals. She attended several master classes with various guest artists from all over the nation, some of which included Laura Donnelly, Matthew Thorton, of the Dance Company Pilobolus, as well as Christine Colby-Jacques who is a master of the Fosse technique, and more.

In 2008, Kristal opened Prestige School of Dance in her hometown Salina, KS. She continues to further her training by attending multiple dance conventions and master classes throughout the year. Kristal has enjoyed judging and teaching for many conventions and competitions over the past several years. Her work has been sought after by multiple collegiate dance teams, universities, high school dance teams, and studios throughout Kansas. Her choreography has won multiple overall top first awards, highest scoring routines, best costumes, best choreography, most entertaining and more! Kristal's dancers are the only nationally ranked studio dancers in the Salina region. She believes dance training is life training. Kristal teaches discipline, self respect, and high moral standards to her students.

Kristal's students have went on to receive professional level jobs, earn college scholarships for both cheer and dance, have been accepted into some of the most prestigious programs in the country, and even open their own dance studios.

She feels blessed to be able to share her greatest passion with her students at Prestige, DANCE!

Kennedy Trimble

Assistant Director

Kennedy comes to us from Burlington, KS where she began dancing at the age of 3. Her passion for Ballet, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theater and Contemporary ultimately led her to pursue dance on the collegiate level.

In 2014, Kennedy moved to Manhattan, KS to study dance and public relations at Kansas State University. Here, she trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern with professors such as David Ollington, Laura Donnelly, and Julie Pentz to name a few.

Kenndy has continued her love of dance through teaching, performing, and choreographing a variety of musicals and concerts. Kennedy has had the honor of working alongside David Ollington during Manhattan Summer Theatre programs. She has also spent the last four years managing and coaching a competitive dance program. Her students and choreography have won countless awards. Kennedy's choreography has been sought after by multiple collegiate dance teams.

Kennedy brings talent, enthusiasm, a well-rounded dance education, and a passion for teaching to our program. Kennedy's students adore her positive and uplifting teaching methods. She is so excited to share that passion with the staff and students at Prestige.

David Ollington

Ballet Master Teacher

David Ollington is delighted to be teaching Ballet at Prestige Dance studio. He is an Associate Professor of Dance Emeritus at Kansas State University. David has danced, directed, and choreographed in a variety of places including the Great Plains Theatre in Abilene, Tent Theatre in Springfield, Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, and the Seattle Children's Theatre. A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, he holds a BA in Theatre from Kansas State University and an MFA in Dance from Texas Christian University. He is a recipient of three commendation from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in recognition of excellence in choreography. His dances have been called "witty" by the Kansas City Pitch Weekly, "brilliantly choreographed" by the Kansas City Star, and Dance Magazine said "Theatre dance doesn't get any better." He currently resides in Manhattan, Kansas where he has choreographed for Manhattan High School and Manhattan Parks and Recreation.

Amanda Huehl Phillips


Amanda is a recent graduate from Wichita State University with a bachelor in performing arts for musical theatre. She has been working with Prairie Repertory Theatre in South Dakota the last three summers, performing in their productions as well as being the dance captain for “Smokey Joe’s Cafe” and “Sister Act.” Last summer she traveled to New York City where she was involved in the Open Jar Institute and trained under Broadway professionals such as Jeff Whiting, Casey Erin Clark, Bradley Zarr, etc.

While at Wichita State, Amanda trained in various dance styles including Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, and Musical Theatre. She was fortunate to teach assist in Tap 2 and Musical Theatre 2 under her teacher, Amy Baker

Currently, Amanda is Performing for six flags in Saint Louis.

Amanda is very excited to start her new journey as a teacher with the studio that sparked her passion for dance...Prestige!

Grant DeMars


Grant DeMars began his training at Prestige and is excited to return for the season! While at Prestige, Grant had the opportunity to travel across the country for conventions and competitions, bringing home scholarships, as well as regional and national titles. Since his time at Prestige, Grant has trained at the University of Kansas, and has also taught and choreographed in Kansas City, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. His pieces have won multiple choreography awards and first overalls. He prides himself on his use of musicality, entricacy, movement quality, and strong technique.

Grant has gotten to travel the country teaching and judging for competitions and conventions like Edge and Triumph National Talent. He spent last summer in New York City, and had the opportunity to train at world renowned studios like Broadway Dance Center and Brickhouse, taking classes from some of the best instructors in the industry. Grant is very excited to share his knowledge and creativity with the dancers at PDC!

Brenna Skinner


Brenna Skinner was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2013, and has been dancing since the age of three. Brenna started dancing competitively at the age of nine & continued all the way through high school. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary/modern, and lyrical. Brenna was a Hutchinson High School Saltshaker (Dance Team member) all four years and a captain her Junior & Senior year. Brenna continued her education at Hutchinson Community College where she danced on the team as a Dragon Doll. She lead that team as captain for two years.

Miss Brenna started teaching and choreographing routines at her home studio at 16 years old and saw many successes early on! She is know for her intensity and entertainment value. She has been recognized many times for her original and creative choreography. Brenna has received several judges choice awards for intensity, emotion, entertainment, and overall high scores. She has been a guest Choreographer for the the 2015 Hutchinson Follies Theater show & the Hutchinson Community College Dragon Dolls Dance Team. She even briefly opened up her own studio space for 4 months in Hutchinson where dancers of all ages could rehearse and take combo classes from her.

In 2015, Miss Brenna became the Head Coach for the Salthawk Dance Team (formerly the Saltshakers) at Hutch High and she currently is in her 5th year of coaching. She enjoys teaching jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop to young dancers. She loves to share her bursting love & passion for dance, and to pass along her knowledge to eager minds! She hopes to make others dreams come true while fulfilling her own, which is teaching dance; she is beyond excited to be apart of our Prestige Dance family

Maddy Bolen


Miss Maddy is in her second year of being a Wichita State Shockers Dancer. She is originally from Council Grove KS where she danced for 15 years and led the Bravettes dance team as Captain.

Maddy brings knowledge and skills of current dance trends for all styles to our company as well as a solid technique foundation that she has strengthened over her 17 years as a dancer.

Kaycie Taylor


Kaycie Taylor is a life long resident of Salina and has taught and danced at local studios for the last 22 years. She began her dance training at the age of 2 and has enjoyed dancing on competition teams since the age of 3. Kaycie has won countless awards and scholarships for her dancing talent both locally and nationally.

She has danced aboard a cruise ship and at Disneyland. She was on the Peppers Squad at Salina South High School and a member of the Kansas Wesleyan University Dance Team. Kaycie has also performed with the Salina Community Theater in the productions of 42nd Street, A Chorus Line, and The Producers.

Kaycie is excited to join the Prestige School of Dance and continue to share her love of dance with Prestige students.
